Your trip, designed together

Every itinerary on this site is a starting point. Tell us your dates, who is travelling, your budget and what you dream of seeing, and we will build the trip with you – by email, video call or WhatsApp – until it feels just right.

Add a homestay night, swap a lodge, add Zanzibar or a Kilimanjaro climb, slow the pace for children or grandparents. Prefer to spread the cost? We can split it into 2 or 3 payments.

Social tourism

More than a game drive

Most visitors see Tanzania through a vehicle window. We take you into it: coffee roasted by hand in Materuni, a Chagga family lunch in Machame, a swim in Chemka hot springs, the noise and colour of Moshi market.

Culture days cost far less than park days, so your trip goes further – and the money stays with the guides, hosts and farmers you meet.

Honest pricing

Every fee, counted properly

Driving to the Serengeti means passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on the way in and on the way out – two fees, plus the crater fee if you go down. It is worth checking any quote for them. Ours include every park, crater, vehicle and concession fee, 18% VAT and Tanzania’s compulsory visitor insurance.

Prices are in US dollars, the currency safaris are priced in. Your Canadian, UK or European card converts automatically at checkout.

Day trips from Moshi

The Kilimanjaro region in Tanzania offers a variety of incredible day trips that allow visitors to explore the stunning natural beauty and cultural attractions of the area. One popular day trip is a visit to the Marangu village, which is situated on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Here, visitors can learn about the Chagga tribe and their traditional ways of life, visit local coffee plantations, and even take a hike to the nearby waterfalls. Another exciting day trip is a visit to the Lake Chala, a stunning volcanic crater lake located on the eastern side of Mount Kilimanjaro. Here, visitors can enjoy activities such as swimming, canoeing, and walking along the picturesque lakeside. Additionally, a day trip to the Materuni Waterfalls allows visitors to trek through lush rainforests, witness the stunning 80-meter waterfall, and even participate in a coffee tour where they can learn about the coffee-making process from bean to cup. Overall, day trips in the Kilimanjaro region offer a perfect blend of adventure, natural beauty, and cultural experiences.

Questions travellers ask

Are park fees included?

Yes. All national park, Ngorongoro, crater and vehicle fees are included at foreign-visitor rates, with 18% VAT. On road safaris to the Serengeti you cross the Ngorongoro Conservation Area twice, and both crossings are included.

Do I need travel insurance?

Tanzania requires every visitor to hold its inbound travel insurance (about $44 per person). We buy it for you on packages. We also recommend your own travel and medical insurance from home.

How does group pricing and split payment work?

Prices are per person and fall as your group grows. One person can pay for everyone by setting the quantity, or each traveller can book their own place and type the same group name at checkout.

When is the best time to visit?

June to October and late December to February are the driest months for safari and Kilimanjaro. Culture trips run all year.

Is it safe to travel with you?

Our licensed guides carry first aid and emergency contacts, vehicles are checked before every trip, and our coordinators check in with you every evening.

How do your prices compare with other operators?

Our day trips are priced at or below the big Moshi operators, and our safaris sit in the mid-range – but with every fee included and a culture day most companies don’t offer. We keep costs down by using local guides, family homestays and our own coordinators instead of agents.

Can I pay in instalments or in my own currency?

Yes. Pay in full online, or ask us for a payment plan: 2 payments (30% to book, the rest 60 days before travel) or 3 payments (30% to book, 35% about 4 months before, 35% 60 days before). We email each invoice with a secure payment link. Prices are in US dollars; any Visa, Mastercard or Amex works and your bank converts the amount.
