Our signature week: meet the people of Kilimanjaro first, then see the wildlife. Logistics are kept simple – three nights in Moshi, one in Karatu next to the crater and two in Arusha – so you spend your time doing, not driving.

Your days, step by step

  1. Day 1 – Arrive in Moshi
Airport pick-up at JRO, 45 minutes to Moshi. Welcome dinner and briefing.
    Overnight: Moshi
  2. Day 2 – Materuni & Moshi market
Waterfall hike and Chagga coffee ceremony; local lunch; afternoon market walk.
    Overnight: Moshi
  3. Day 3 – Machame cultural tour + Chemka
Morning with a Machame village family (farms, school, traditional lunch), afternoon swim at Chemka hot springs.
    Overnight: Moshi
  4. Day 4 – Tarangire game drive
Early start, about 3.5 hrs to Tarangire. Afternoon game drive among elephants and baobabs; 1.5 hrs to Karatu.
    Overnight: Karatu (near Ngorongoro)
  5. Day 5 – Ngorongoro Crater
Into the crater at sunrise for the Big Five; picnic lunch on the crater floor. About 3 hrs to Arusha.
    Overnight: Arusha
  6. Day 6 – Arusha village & coffee day
A gentle day on the slopes of Mount Meru: farm walk, coffee plantation and lunch with a local family. Free evening.
    Overnight: Arusha
  7. Day 7 – Depart
Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport (1 hr).

Travelling with friends? Share the cost

Prices are per person and drop as your group grows, because you share the vehicle, guide and fixed fees.

  • One person pays: choose your group size and set the quantity to the number of travellers.
  • Everyone pays their own share: each traveller books one place with the same group size and the same Group name – we link you together.

Park fees explained

We quote foreign non-resident rates with 18% VAT. Road safaris to the Serengeti cross the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on the way in and out, so the Ngorongoro fee is paid twice, plus the Serengeti fee for each 24 hours and $295 per vehicle to descend into the crater. All of this is already in your price.
