Two of Kilimanjaro’s best experiences in one easy day: the 80-metre Materuni waterfall and coffee ceremony in the morning, then the warm turquoise pools of Chemka in the afternoon.

Your days, step by step

    40-minute drive to Materuni village.
  2. 08:45 – Waterfall walk
About 1 hour each way through banana and coffee farms; swim at the falls.
  3. 11:30 – Coffee ceremony & lunch
Roast and grind coffee with a Chagga family; local lunch.
  4. 13:30 – Drive to Chemka
About 1 hour 15 minutes across the farmland.
  5. 14:45 – Swim at Chemka
Two hours to swim and relax.
  6. 17:30 – Back in Moshi
    Drop-off at your hotel.

Travelling with friends? Share the cost

Prices are per person and drop as your group grows, because you share the vehicle, guide and fixed fees.

  • One person pays: choose your group size and set the quantity to the number of travellers.
  • Everyone pays their own share: each traveller books one place with the same group size and the same Group name – we link you together.

Park fees explained

We quote foreign non-resident rates with 18% VAT. Road safaris to the Serengeti cross the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on the way in and out, so the Ngorongoro fee is paid twice, plus the Serengeti fee for each 24 hours and $295 per vehicle to descend into the crater. All of this is already in your price.

Booking notice, payments and cancellation

Book ahead: safaris, Kilimanjaro climbs and packages at least 21 days before the start date; day trips at least 3 days before. Later bookings are welcome, but at short notice we cannot guarantee availability or every detail.
